After winding our way in for a couple of miles, we came to a trail junction leading into Cathedral Lake.  And as is traditional in Yosemite, where there are lakes... there are mountains.  In the background is an unusual spire called... you guessed it... Cathedral Peak.  This picture doesn't do it justice.   Looks kind of small and it's not.  The next shot has a better perspective.
