Would you believe this is the back side of Clouds Rest?   If you look hard, you can see people standing on the top (look left center, left of the pine).  The trail down is straight down the granite slabs, pretty tough on the legs.  You'd think OSHA would mandate guard rails at least.  And where are those handicapped ramps.

From here we think the camp site is just around the next corner.  Finding a suitable spot for 11 rowdy campers is just duck soup for a couple of experienced hikers like us.  However, thinking then doing once again turned out to be more of a problem than we thought.

John Hart, JD, and I pushed ahead letting the others enjoy Clouds Rest a bit longer.  The theory is there's only one trail and there is no way we couldn't rendezvous for dinner...   Perturbations in the plan were caused by darkness, the camp sites not being anywhere near where we planned, and the only viable site being well off the trail (easy for stragglers to miss).  Eventually, we did regroup but dinner was cooked in the dark.  Good thing we still has some Margarita mix left.  Where is that flashlight...
