Ok, so how was this one taken?  The crew (T. Boldt, Hal, Gary, and JD) are lunching on the face of Half dome.  The granite blocks you see are literally poised to fall off their perches down into the Valley thousands of feet below.   We are looking almost straight downward.

The answer, of course, is there are even crazier people in our group who have climbed down the face one more tier.  Their base of operation is even more precarious than ours.  See the previous picture for the identify of these crazies.

All things considered, this is probably my favorite lunch spot of all time.  It's a pretty exhausting climb, at least for me, and to be able to sit down for lunch facing such a view is an experience you remember.
