Our third and last night in the woods was spent near the junction of Muir and Clouds Rest trail, 1.5mi's north of the Half Dome spur trail and... what the hell, if you want to know exactly where it is, consult the silly map on the Day 3 home page.

I really like these sites because there are only a few of them (no over crowding possible) and there is a good chance for bear encounters.  As you can see, Sue and Brett have laid out dinner for our furry friends, taking only what they need while leaving plenty to attract even the most sated bear.

In fact, before anyone would sign up for the trip I had to put down my personal guarantee that we'd shake hands with one or more.  However, I confidently gave the need assurances and no less than 11 signed up!
