| Now we're cooking! Almost to Horseshoe Mesa (Camp #1) now, John, Gary and
Andrew are thinking about dinner. John's turn to cook this first night. The usual protocol
is to bring fresh stuff for the first meal. John is about to whip up his specialty of
Keilbasa, garlic, onions, green peppers, and Fricashia (sp) bread. For sure this is a view down into Cottonwood Creek. Horseshoe's left arm is behind John's head (left). Elevation is about 2500ft. We have descended almost that amount over the last three hours from our start at the Grandview trailhead. |
