Ok, now you're getting the idea.  It is almost straight up at this point.  Hal is giving the obligatory "Hi mom" wave from the sitting position... sitting because standing without a good handhold is not advisable.

Now Marshall, on the other hand, has the idea.  He's standing, but has a firm grip on that dead twig... "Watch out.  I don't think that twig is going to hold a 220 pounder.  And I know what you're thinking, but that next foothold is not really a rock, it's Hal's head."
