I'm in the lead now, looking back on Marshall and Hal as we near the top of the mesa and the end of our Redwall assault.  4WD is still required on the uppermost section, despite many good footholds.  It is pick your way through the vegetation, find stable footing step-by-step, and you'll make it.

I am sure there are other routes up to the top of this particular mesa but they are NOT obvious.   Even after having done this once before, I still had a hard time finding a successful route.  For those who read this and decide to follow, it is important to keep reminding yourselves, "It is possible.  Others have done it.  I can do it.  And above all, DON'T LOOK DOWN."
