Aaaahhh, the rewards for hiking the Grand Canyon are many, but getting a cool shower after an arduous trek on a hot day ranks right up there with the best.  All of us took the opportunity to refresh ourselves in this natural shower.

Now we have only a few hundred yards to go before reaching the shores of the Colorado... It was the perfect time to tell my story about how a past foray down Grapevine Creek ended 50 ft from touching the objective - the Colorado - at a waterfall, which could not be climbed.  We could have jumped down, but getting back up was clearly impossible.  We spent an hour or so trying to find a way around it but to no avail.   Would the same fate befall our effort down Hance Creek... Stay tuned?
