Paul, Marshall, and I are admiring the view into Cottonwood Canyon on our way out of the Grand Canyon.  We got up on the fourth day at around 7:30AM and made dinner... yes dinner.  You see, we were so exhausted from from the ordeal of the previous day that we couldn't bring ourselves to expend the additional effort required to cook.  We just wanted to hit the hay.  The agreed compromise was that we would eat anything and everything in our respective packs that didn't require the services of a stove.  ...Dinner in the morning never tasted so good.

Secretly though, I slept with one eye open, sure that this was just a ruse so the others could have their way me for leading them into near disaster.  The crew didn't look like they were into cannibalism, but one never knows.  ...Best to be alert.

The Park Service arrow points to Grandview Pt., which is the end of our 4-day odyssey.   Click on the arrow to see the view from up there looking down.
