Still on the Tonto but now out of the shadow of Horseshoe Mesa, Marshall and Paul get a good look over the edge of Cottonwood canyon.  At this point the cut is perhaps 500 ft deep heading for 1,200 ft at as it meets the Colorado River.

At the far right is Newberry Butte.  In the center is Hall Butte.  And the small bow tie-shaped formation is Wotan's Throne.  (You gota like those handy Park Service arrows.  Very cleaver, these government types.)  Many of the top-most formations in the Canyon resemble temples and are so named after mythical and biblical places or people.
