| Here's a shot from the Tonto trail (parallel's the Colorado)
looking back into the depths of the 'U' which is Horseshoe Mesa. The butte in the
center is climbable (arrow), but only from the left side. Our first night's camp
site on the Mesa was on the left arm. Cottonwood is on the other side of the right
arm (right and left as seen from this vantage point). Once again the day was perfect... we must be living right. |
