One unusual feature of Carrizo Creek is that it flows almost due north.   The abandon RR was always to the right of our trace (east), and about 800ft above the Gorge bottom.  Small trestles such as the one featured here, dotted the hillscape above us as we traveled.  Most were in good shape, perhaps even adequate for safe RR transportation.  Others had collapsed. 

Rumor had it that a Budweiser freight car was derailed somewhere near this location.  However, we didn't see it.  We did see two other RR cars that had tumbled from the tracks later in the hike.   ...Sure hate it when that happens.
