| ...Add to the catalog of potential disasters DYN-O-MITE!! We have
talked on occasion about "blasting up a trail" or "blasting through the
underbrush" but this is a new wrinkle on the term. After due consideration, we
determined this sign was referring REAL blasting, not the figurative sort. Never had
to contend with such a hazard before. Ah well, what would life be like without new
adventures. "Hey Andrew, what's that red-handled plunger thing over there with
the wires running out of it?" ...And so begins our hike in Carrizo Gorge. "Now let's see, is it dodge the drug dealers, outrun the illegal aliens and duck in blasting zones... or is it duck the drug dealers, dodge the illegal aliens, and outrun the blast... doesn't seem right, somehow."
