Here we are about half way down the ridge.  Carrizo Creek is the objective some 800ft below.  Our collective wisdom was correct, this particular ridge was about the simplest way for us to get back on track.  Once we all got to the bottom, Eric, Serge, and Andrew hiked back to the junction of Carrizo Gorge with Goat Canyon to see if there were any insurmountable obstructions.  Though there were obstacles, none were insurmountable.  Next time it might be fun to take Goat Canyon down to the Gorge instead of the ridge route.

While they were there, the crew took advantage of a natural pool formed by a depression in Carrizo Creek to do a bit of desert skinny dipping.  John and I caught some rays and snoozed.  To each his own.   A bath sounded good to me too, but at 40deg... that's nuts.  Snoozing was the right answer.
