This is the first waterfall and pool one comes to while hiking upward into Cougar Canyon.  If the day were hotter, it would make a nice cooling off spot.  On past hikes, I've filled my hat with water from the waterfall just to the left of Jeff.  The water is surprisingly cold, probably indicating a deep spring source for the water in Cougar.
