During the planning process for this hike I checked the closure date for the jeep trail into Coyote.  I knew the park service denied access to the area during bighorn sheep mating season in the summer.  Most times planning is a good thing.  This time it was a waste of time.  It's April and the sign says they don't close the trail until June....  Mental note: CALL THE PARK SERVICE AND ASK!!!
