We searched for a half hour or so for a pictograph known to exist in a rock cave a short way into the mouth of Cougar Canyon.  We found it on the lower wall of a cave formed by these two rocks.  There is nothing to indicate that this site was more than just a temporary natural shelter for 19th century Indians. 

Unfortunately, the Park Service person who put up the red sign marking the entrance to the rock cave doesn't know the difference between a Petroglyph and a Pictograph.  Some people...
