Here we are entering Zion. This must be a popular spot for tourists to stop because the park service had graded an area which served as a parking lot next to the sign. While we were getting this prototypical shot, we ran into a professional photographer who was documenting parks all across the US was doing the same thing. He was living in his car (and it looked like it) while doing photojournalism in his spare time. The poor car looked like it had been ridden hard and put away wet. A Toyota Celica, I believe. Must have had 200,000 mi.'s on the odometer and sawdust in the transmission.

He took our names and promised to send us notification when he had the pictures published on CD-ROM. Frankly, I find the Web an easier medium. Do you think we should tell him??...
