crew pictured were first timers to the desert and were in for a real
ripper (literally and figuratively) introduction to desert hiking.
Mortero Palms trailhead is located at 2000ft altitude on the desert floor. Mortero Wash and Canyon are located to the left. Sand in the wash soon gives way to rock as the hike begins. |
