It took some convincing to get Susan and Julio to make the somewhat risky descent to the trestle from the drop-off.  However, the draw of actually being able to explore the spectacular structure eventually overcame common sense.  I believe it was at about this point that Julio began disparaging the hike leader.  And, ah well, those ripped jeans are about to be shredded.  Even oil rags get better treatment.
