Here's a pretty good shot of the palm oasis.  Full skirts on the closely spaced trees add to the density of the grove.  The skirts are also home to many critters, so if you hear rustling, it's probably a native of the region trying to hide.  In fact, Jeff and I encountered a bat patrolling its territory in the grove on our way back from the trestle.
