Gary and Marshall have staked out a pretty nice piece of real estate along Guitar Lake.  The order of the day is rest, eat and get ready for a grueling day tomorrow.  Whitney will test both stamina and strength.  Guitar camp is at about 11,500 ft.  Whitney summit rises to 14,500 ft. and the following night will be spent at Outpost Camp some 10 miles away at 10,600 ft.  It will be our longest day mile-wise and will have the most vertical rise / fall.

Side note: It is in this very tent that the old saying, "age and treachery beats youth and exuberance," was proven once again.  Marshall and I hatched a plan to even the odds at making Whitney summit before the other, marathon-ready members of our crew....
