Team photo taken by a fellow hiker.  Lunch at the top could not have been enjoyed more.  The sun was behind us affording fantastic views eastward toward Lone Pine and Whitney Portal, our final destination.

Tom and Gary brought cell phones and passed them around so that everyone could let someone know they had made it to the top.  Once again, however, and this is for the third time, Mom was on the golf course and Marshall and I had to be satisfied leaving a message.  I'm getting too old for this.

After having wracked our bodies for 5 days to get here, I must say the reward is well worth the effort.  All agreed, this is about as good as it gets.
