It is difficult to get good perspective with still photos.  the craggy summit almost looks like it butts up to the next mountain.  However, it is really about 2 miles away.  In the far distance is Death Valley, the lowest point in the US.  Pretty interesting when you consider we are standing on the highest point in the continental US.  John is taking it all in.
