The real reason for the picture was to capture a small bird (type unknown... hey we're just a bunch of guys, not ornithologists) that kept landing on Kurt's shoulder. Missed it, but the scene was worth preserving anyway.

well. The shot was taken straight down. Kurt's foot is NOT
resting by a puddle. It is hanging over Whitney face... And that
puddle is really Iceberg Lake located 2,000 ft. below.
