Here's a good shot of just how rugged the back side of Whitney is.  Paul, Marshall and Tom make their way along the Whitney summit trail.  Some of our collective tax dollars can be seen in the form of a wall comprising part of the trail.  Hats off to those that maintain trails in such hostile locations.  I can't imagine muscling rocks around at 15,000 ft.  I'll take that desk job now, please.
